We are inviting nominations for our inaugural
Berrett-Koehler Foundation Changemaker Award
This invitation is an opportunity to honor people who are directly and immediately involved in creating a world that works for each and every one of us. We are seeking five individuals, organizations or communities who have not received large grants or donations and for whom a $5,000 award could make a difference. Beyond the money, the award is Berrett-Koehler Foundation’s way to affirm and energize their work.
We invite you to identify these menders, healers, and community builders so that we recognize them and share their vision, successes and striving as evidence that co-creating a world that works for all is already in progress.
Send your nomination
(self-nominations also accepted) by January 15, 2023.
We look forward to engaging, witnessing and learning from changemakers who create equitable, regenerative, and loving spaces in their communities.

Creating A World That Works For All
The Berrett Koehler Foundation aspires to live its mission in all we do. Garnering wisdom from the Action Learning Fellowships and witnessing our dynamic changemakers navigate through their personal growth and project progress, the Board remains engaged and inspired to acknowledge, anchor, and amplify both the person and project.
Tracing the Action Learning Fellowship Journey
Isolated & Connected
Though it seems a short period from the inaugural 2018 fellowship to our 3.0 version in 2019-2020, as a world community, we have lived through unprecedented times. We found ways through the isolation of the Covid 19 outbreak and subsequent lockdowns to gather via Zoom.
While ‘Zoom fatigue” became a frequent challenge, at BKF we were grateful to continue engaging with our changemakers. We discovered soul- connecting was possible given the intention with which we gathered, helped us live as we were meant to live together for better and for worse.

The Present Moment
Here and now in the fall of 2022, we once again pick up the threads of our experiences and learnings across the iterations of the Action-Learning Fellowships to weave a new pattern for today's world.
