The Berrett-Koehler Foundation (BKF) is committed to strengthening the leaders we need for these times. Our unique fellowship program provides a transformative learning space, with an incredible repository of ground-breaking thinker-doers-authors, for the next generation of leaders who are committed to a world that works for all. With your financial support, we will be equipped to host the next fellowship cohort, with the theme of Building Bridges for a Re-Connected World.
Our BKF Fellows program gives a selected group of leaders time, space, mentorship, and community, to evolve their visions and take their work to deeper levels. Our 2020 cohort not only supported each other to weather the complex storms of this year, but also came out stronger, clearer, and more powerful as a result of BKF support.
Valentina Helo-Villegas, a Fellow from this year speaks to the community support that powered both her and her work, especially amidst COVID, focusing on stress management to prevent child abuse and domestic violence, addressing crises, and helping children access educational opportunities.
Valentina reflects, “When I started the Fellowship, after that first retreat, I thought, I really value the connections that were created here, so I will be better about connecting virtually. I had never used Zoom before this fellowship. And, then, the synchronicity, this team of angels that have my back that are helping me navigate things that I didn't even know were going to be a challenge...This has built my capacity on many many levels, and I feel how BKF is about helping people bring their ideas to fruition in a generative way.."
Within one month, after shelter-in-place in California, Valentina and her team made 458 referrals – for housing, food security, and legal aid.
To re-imagine leadership, and engage with diverse and inclusive leadership practices, is essential, as we heal and build going forward. Join BK Foundation as we share all of our unique resources to recognize, weave, and amplify transformative leadership.
