A world that works for all still takes a community to create. In the spirit of Berrett-Koehler Foundation's "simple" mission, sharing BK community resources to co-create a world that works for all, we're continuing to share gifts from our beloved community. Coming in early June are gifts from Marilee Adams (BK author) and Meg VanDeusen (BK Foundation action learning fellow). Marilee Adams, originator of the QUESTION THINKING™ methodologies, and the Inquiry Institute team asked themselves,
The Connecting and Compassionate Conversations series in April was a hit. Interactive calls covered topics concerning self care, compassion and self compassion, leadership, and creativity and innovation. These calls were powerful and impactful, and inspired Marilee and the Inquiry Institute team to continue the conversations in June. You are invited to join Inquiry Institute's June conversations scheduled for two Mondays, June 8 and 22, 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. ET to explore Re-Imagining Our Futures, in terms of play, work, business, family and relationships. To sign up, click on the button below. Please note that you must register at this link to receive follow up emails with information and details to join the calls. Meg VanDeusen of Feedback Labs reminds us of the importance of seeking to really understand the needs of our constituents (making decisions with them and not for them) to ensure our actions are effective and equitable. Meg shares with us: As COVID-19 sweeps the globe and causes unprecedented effects, non-profits, foundations, and governments are working to figure out the best course of action to serve their communities. The pandemic has challenged systems around the world in a way that most of us have not experienced in our lifetimes. I believe it is important now more than ever to seek feedback from the communities we serve as we navigate responding to the needs of our constituents in a time of crisis. Listening and acting on feedback is a critical component of ensuring our actions are effective and equitable. Coming out of this crisis we are going to need a mindset shift, and better listening is only the start of that. Keep reading for two gifts from Meg and Feedback Labs.
