A world that works for all
still takes a community to create
In the spirit of Berrett-Koehler Foundation's "simple" mission, sharing BK community resources to co-create a world that works for all, we're sharing with you two gifts from one of our fellows.
Meg VanDeusen of Feedback Labs reminds us of the importance of seeking to really understand the needs of our constituents (making decisions with them and not for them) to ensure our actions are effective and equitable.

Feedback Loops free one-hour webinar, May 6 at 2pm ET
Since the February 29 showcase much has changed! I continue to feel exceptionally grateful for having hosted the Feedback Summit in San Juan and the BKF showcase in the Bay Area, as I expect those are the last in person gathering we will enjoy for awhile. The past two months have been rapid response to the COVID-19 crisis.
As COVID-19 sweeps the globe and causes unprecedented effects, non-profits, foundations, and governments are working to figure out the best course of action to serve their communities. The pandemic has challenged systems around the world in a way that most of us have not experienced in our lifetimes. I believe it is important now more than ever to seek feedback from the communities we serve as we navigate responding to the needs of our constituents in a time of crisis. Listening and acting on feedback is a critical component of ensuring our actions are effective and equitable. Coming out of this crisis we are going to need a mindset shift, and better listening is only the start of that.
