Aren’t we the ordinary people chosen to live in these extraordinary times?
2020 has been a tumultuous year. During this time, community and shared learning remain at the heart of the Berrett-Koehler Foundation.
Amidst everything, the thoughts we think, the words we speak, the actions we take continue to be what shapes the stories we share down the decades.
As the future narrators of these times, what is that we will harvest and carry with us?

We look forward to drawing on and being reinvigorated by our collective wisdom, resilience, and courage to move forward the important work the members of this community are doing together.
During immense challenges and heightened anxiety, the Berrett-Koehler Foundation remains surrounded by individuals, like you, who have continued to build bridges, create inclusive spaces that foster growth, and advocate for the changes our world so desperately needs. And these actions need to be acknowledged and amplified.
- We’ll hear from Rose Essiem, one of the Action Learning Fellows, who is re-thinking what collective giving in the Black diaspora might broaden and sustain impact with support from the fellowship community.
- We’ll continue the conversation in small groups, sharing stories of what has given each person meaning this year, and have the chance to harvest all together.
